lyrics

The Sun and Moon, had their parts to play
The Sun warming the bright spring day
And the moon with her cycles and tides
While her rightful importance went unnoticed by most
The Sun was worshiped for his skies
He grew an ego larger than any star before
And shortened the winter night till the snows came no more
The Moon did her waiting and quietly and sure
On the first full light of winter she gathered all her strength
And with the power of the skies and the stars and the sea
She cast him down to earth to leave him mortal as the sun could be
She took on his burden as well as her own
Now Nora herself warms the spring by day
And so the nights now have dimmed
And the suns glow is weakened
The harsh light from the ego of Soren’s celestial fire
Now a perpetual sunset as her grasp is weak
She’s tired, our mother, she’s no time to sleep
As the mortal Sun king sits upon his throne of deceit
